Sewing

Today in sewing we were making masks. We spent 9 weeks in sewing and it was the year 8's last time. We were building on our sewing skills and we had a range of different ways of making the masks. We had to use the whip stitch which goes over and over. We also got to use the sewing machine. A huge thanks to Anne for teaching us skills we can use later on in our lives and also all the different stitches. As well as teaching us how to use the machine's we are now safe to use public transport.

  2. Mōrena John. I am Leyla from Saint Mary's school.
I enjoyed reading about your sewing class.
I learnt that the whip stitch is where you go over and over again.
Maybe next time you could explain more about how you did your mask, what colour your thread was, and what type of material you used.

That is really cool. Have you worn it in public yet? Maybe next time you could add a bit more detail on how you made it. Keep up the good work!
