Gate making during Lock down.
During this time being stuck at home I made some gates. The Gates are made out of Rails we got from Wrightsons. I made them with My step Dad first so I got a idea of the measurements. It was challenging because when I did it if you got one wrong Measurement they weren't quite stable. Here is one of them.

Hello John
ReplyDeleteI am really impressed with the skill involved in making such a sturdy, well proportioned looking gate!! What great Maths learning as I am sure there was a lot of precise measurement involved in their construction.
It is neat to think you are working with, and learning alongside your Step Dad...that is often the most effective way of learning new skills.
Did you get to use any power tools like a drill or nail gun?
Where will the gates be used?
Excellent work

Hello John
ReplyDeleteYou have learned and used a range of skills to construct those gates John. A builder in the making!
How long would it have taken you to construct one gate from start to finish?
Was it any quicker constructing the second gate?
Mrs Fisher
Hi John,
ReplyDeleteWow! I am impressed. You must have a very good instructor? The gate looks strong and solid. Where is this one going to be used? Would you be keen to start your own tool collection? Which tool would you go for first?
Hi John,
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a good strong gate, where are you going to use it? Do you have another project lined up? Great work John. Mrs Bayley
